Since our trip of a lifetime consists of both an exciting volunteer experience in Ghana and a portion of time where Lindsay and I are going to wander around other parts of the globe we have decided that there are a few things that are very necessary for us to do while we are travelling. We figure if we tell all of you guys we will actually be held accountable and will not be allowed to chicken out. We will do our best to document every last one of these items so that our bucket list is a long list of kodak moments that our future kids will use to prove that we are insane....or cool? We can only hope.
Ghana Leg:
-Go to the beach!!
-Play soccer with locals
-Learn how to sing a local song
-Go to a local market
-Experience public transit
-Teach a new game to someone
-Communicate in basic Fanti (the local language)
-Get caught in the rain (apparently we're going during the rainy season so this shouldn't be too tough!)
-Befriend other healthcare students from all around the world
-Learn what it's like to be a nurse in Ghana
-Make patients smile
Europe Leg:
-Eat a baguette in Paris
-Take a picture at the Eiffel Tower
-Meet people from all around the world at different hostels
-Photobomb someone
-Go horseback riding in Ireland (This would be Kiri's brilliant addition that Lindsay is going to hate)
-Watch live music in Ireland
-Re-enact Braveheart in Scotland (Or at least find a William Wallace monument)
-Take a cooking class somewhere
-Try to make a guard at Buckingham Place smile ($10 says we chicken out of this one)
-Take a run at the wall between platforms 9 & 10 at Kings Cross Station in London
-Stand at the edge of the world (AKA the Cliffs of Moher)
-Eat a waffle in Belgium
-Pet a sheep
-Learn how to read maps
-Get lost and love it
-Get a birds-eye view of London
-Travel on a train
-Play a fiddle in Ireland
-Have a beer in an Irish Pub
-Find the Lochness Monster
