Our bus for Hamsterdam (don't worry I will explain in a minute) left at 4pm which gave us the morning and afternoon to take over Paris. We decided to be outstanding citizens instead and sit in a park with the birds. Since Lindsay decided shopping wasn't her thing she got voted 'most likely to sit and watch the bags' so while she sat in the park (don't feel bad for her it had wifi), I shopped! It was a beautiful sunny day and we got to just relax and enjoy the layed back side of the city. At 4:00 we loaded into an iDBus which is a bus company that runs between a lot of the major cities in the area. These buses are basically greyhounds except with wifi and plug-ins. It is also very cheap!! Why hasn't this caught on in Canada?? The bus wasn't scheduled to reach Amsterdam until 11:30 pm so we settled in for the long haul and rested our feet! Figuring out an entirely new train system was the next adventure we had when we finally reached the city but we noticed that people in Hamsterdam speak very good English so we had very few speed bumps.
On a side note, in about 4 years time if you happen to be in Amsterdam look out for a big yacht which will be a hamster oasis and the tourist attraction of the city. It's up and coming.
